The charger is suitable for both beginners and advanced users who want to know more about their batteries than just "full" or "empty". XTAR stands in the combination of the principle of technological progress and responsibility for safety and environmental protection. 

The XTAR VC4S is a professional Li-Ion/NIMH battery charger.

With four independently functioning charging bays, for operation from any 5V USB port or to achieve full power from a Quick Charge USB power supply (400613).
Determining the actual capacity, discharging the batteries to the nominal voltage to protect the batteries during longer storage periods or the built-in QC processor to achieve full power of 4A (only with QC USB power supply) are the most important additions to the already very successful VC4 charger, besides the newly designed display.
Compatible with all USB mains and car adapters, input voltage and charging current is intelligently identified and adjusted. Power supply not included. (suitable QC USB power supply unit 400613, 400622)
The XTAR VC4S can detect, display and charge Ni-MH and Li-Ion batteries at the same time. The large, clear display shows: charging current, battery voltage, battery type, charged or discharged capacity in mAh of all battery compartments according to the set cycle.

The following Li-Ion battery types can be charged:

10440 / 14500 / 14650 / 16340 /  17335 / 17500 / 17670 / 18350 / 18490 / 18500 / 18650 / 18700.
The following batteries can only occupy 3 charging slots: 20700 / 21700 / 22650
The following batteries can only be charged in slot 1 and slot 4: 25500 / 26650 / 26700 / 32650
3.6V/3.7V Lithium-ion batteries.
Not suitable for protected 20700/21700 batteries. max. length 72mm.

The following Ni/MH Ni/CD battery types can be charged: 

AAAA / AAA / A /
The following batteries can only be charged in slot 1 and slot 4:  SC / C / D

Technical information and notes

The charging speed (charging current) of the batteries depends on the USB power supply. It is possible to select a weaker USB power supply, however, charging of the batteries is no longer possible at full current.

Idle power consumption at 5V is approximately 200 mA when the display is bright 64 mA when the display is dimmed and 47 mA when the display is off.
At 0V, the charger reports "Err".
Above 0V, the charger estimates Ni/MH batteries and starts charging. This estimation is changed to Li-Ion as soon as the battery voltage reaches Li-Ion values.
Below 1.8 V, the charger assumes Ni/MH.
Above 1.8 V, the charger assumes Li-Ion.
After a power failure or insertion of the battery, charging continues.
When the unit is not connected to the power supply, approx. 1 mA is consumed by a Li-Ion and 0.1 A by a Ni/MH battery.
The current dial shows the maximum possible charging current, not the actual charging current. Use the "Cur" display for this purpose.
The mAh display flashes "Full" when the corresponding battery is full and the LED is green.
